Pearson Engineering took Ukraine-driven innovation to DVD where visitors experienced next generation mine clearance technology first-hand.

Press Release, Newcastle upon Tyne, 21 September 2026: Pearson Engineering demonstrated how its ongoing support to Ukraine is helping shape the next generation of mine action technology at the recent DVD defence show, with visitors to its stand trialling the organisation’s latest capabilities for themselves.
Since Ukraine’s invasion in 2022, the Newcastle-headquartered defence manufacturer has supplied vehicle-mounted engineering and mine clearance systems to support the country, including mine ploughs, rollers and mine-clearing systems. The experience gained in Ukraine is informing Pearson Engineering’s research and development, helping the company understand the evolving mine threat and develop technologies designed for the realities of modern conflict and humanitarian clearance.
At DVD stand SP-26, visitors were able to use a simulator to experience the MineWolf MW370 Next Generation and Threat-Sense systems. The MW370 Next Generation incorporates increased automation to enhance the safety and effectiveness of mine clearance, while Threat-Sense utilise AI to identify threats. The technologies have applications that extend beyond the battlefield. With Ukraine facing extensive and long-term mine contamination, Pearson Engineering is committed to supporting the country’s humanitarian mine action requirements and developing the capabilities needed to help return contaminated land to safe and productive use.
