Press Release, Newcastle upon Tyne, 18 June 2026: Building on the Memorandum of Understanding signed at DSEI 2025, leading defence engineering company Pearson Engineering and Ukrainska Bavovna (UB) have signed a licensing agreement. This marks the next stage in their partnership to support Ukraine’s military mobility and humanitarian demining efforts.

The agreement will support the provision of high-quality repair and maintenance services for systems already delivered to Ukraine, the training of users of engineering equipment, and the further development of in-country support capability for Pearson Engineering systems as part of the significant efforts in both the current military campaign and the restoration of land for domestic and agricultural purposes.

Pearson Engineering has a proud history of delivering systems that protect lives and mobility on the battlefield. In 2024, the company exported nearly £60m worth of equipment globally, including supplying specialist mine clearance equipment to Ukraine to support humanitarian demining, making civilian areas safer and helping return land to productive use. Ukrainska Bavovna is a Ukrainian defence system integration company providing support and organisational services to enhance the capabilities and efficiency of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As Ukraine continues to address the challenges posed by extensive mine contamination and ongoing military operations, developing local expertise and support capabilities will be essential to ensuring equipment remains available and effective when it is needed most.

Andriy Boychenyuk, Director of International Cooperation and Partnerships at Ukrainska Bavovna, said: “This agreement marks an important milestone in our cooperation with Pearson Engineering. Ukraine continues to face significant challenges from mine contamination, and developing maintenance, training and support capability in-country will help ensure this vital equipment remains available where it is needed most.”
