Press Release, Farnborough, 14 May 2026: ISTEC Services Ltd, a British company with 37 years of operationally proven experience in the design, manufacture, supply and support of complex weapon integration solutions for military platforms, has signed a key collaboration agreement with Australian defence technology company SiNAB Pty Ltd. The agreement brings together complementary strengths in platform integration and advanced mission systems to deliver next-generation integrated Counter UAS, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR) and communication capabilities across the globe.

Australian-owned SiNAB specialises in advanced mission systems, including airborne ISR, communications integration and real-time data exploitation. Its agile development model and operationally proven capabilities enable rapid deployment of adaptable solutions across complex and distributed operational environments. SiNAB designs and manufactures the Phoenix Mission System, a self-contained airborne mission system delivered via an external pod and deployed on aircraft already in service. The system integrates sensing, mission processing, communications and operator control into a single platform, supporting a range of operational and training applications, including Counter UAS, ISR, targeting, JTAC training and tactical communication. The modular architecture of the Phoenix system enables deployment across a wide range of aircraft and mission profiles, providing operators with flexible and rapidly deployable capability tailored to evolving operational requirements.

ISTEC has a long history of design, manufacture and supply of weapon integration solutions for crew served weapons such as GPMG, HMG and MMG. They are a British owned and run company with a local UK manufacture and supply base. Best known for their Universal Gun Mounts (UGMs), their integration solutions have been fitted to some of the more iconic vehicles used during more recent Land operations such as WMIK, Mastiff, Viking and Jackal in UK and in service internationally with countries including USA, Canada, UAE and other European and NATO partners. They are the weapons mount of choice for the Royal Navy, with their systems found on most surface and sub-surface vessels and more recently they have been providing key integration solutions for rotary wing assets in the Air domain, including delivering projects for the US DoD.

Tony Landers, CEO of SiNAB said, “We’re seeing a clear shift in how capability is delivered, with operators looking for solutions that can adapt quickly to changing mission demands. This collaboration with ISTEC brings together complementary strengths in platform integration and advanced mission systems, enabling the delivery of highly adaptable ISR and communications capabilities that support real-time, multi-domain operational awareness across key markets.”

Mark Batchelor, International Sales and Business Development Manager for ISTEC Services, added: “Over recent years, we have been expanding our network in the Asia Pacific region, and this collaboration with SiNAB is an excellent addition to our partnership portfolio. SiNAB produce a range of superb products which we can support with complex integration solutions, and there is potential to work together on future projects to meet the needs of our customers. The collaboration reflects increasing demand for integrated ISR and communications solutions capable of operating across air, land and maritime domains, particularly in the Indo-Pacific where operational environments are complex and rapidly evolving.”
