Press Release, Düsseldorf, 13 October 2025: The AUSA Annual Meeting & Exposition takes place in Washington, DC from 13-15 October, with this year’s motto set as ‘Agile, Adaptive, Lethal: Winning at the Pace of Change’. The American Rheinmetall family of companies along with key partners from Rheinmetall’s global enterprise will be on-site showcasing some of their most recent activities, achievements, and innovative solutions aimed at providing the US Army with the critical, next-generation technologies it needs and deserves.

With a domestic footprint spanning Arkansas, Maine, Michigan, Ohio, Texas, and Virginia, and a workforce of over 1,500 US employees, American Rheinmetall is making substantial contributions to Army modernisation while also supporting the revitalisation of the US defence industrial base. The company is accelerating the delivery of transformational capabilities designed to ensure overmatch, Soldier lethality, and readiness for the future fight.

“We are delivering the technologies that enable US forces to dominate future battlefields through unmatched lethality, survivability, and agility,” said Stephen Hedger, CEO at American Rheinmetall Defense. “AUSA 2025 is a critical venue for engaging with the Army and defence community to demonstrate how our solutions deliver mission needs at the speed of relevance.”

Featured Technologies at AUSA 2025

  • American Rheinmetall will highlight an integrated suite of capabilities that support ground combat operations, tactical mobility, air defence, vehicle autonomy, long-range precision fires, and Soldier lethality:

Lynx XM30 Combat Vehicle – A Transformational Capability for the Air-Ground Littoral Fight

  • A leap-ahead solution offered for the Army’s XM30 programme, the Lynx XM30 delivers unmatched connectivity, protection, and firepower. Designed with a modular, open architecture for rapid tech integration, the vehicle offers superior adaptability for future threats. A cleared-access augmented reality tech demonstrator will allow visitors to explore its full potential at the show.

Ox Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) – Advanced Unmanned, Autonomous Operations in Support of Squad and Platoon Operations

  • A modular, mission-ready UGV designed to enhance the operational effectiveness of dismounted Soldiers. Built on over 20 years of Rheinmetall’s UGV experience, the Ox meets US Army requirements for mobility, silent operation, signature management, and modular payload integration—including CASEVAC, resupply, electronic warfare, and counter-UAS. Autonomy-ready with a modular architecture, the Ox enables faster, safer operations at the tactical edge. The Ox UGV displayed includes proven, fielded, and mature subsystem solutions like Valinor’s Dispatch modular sUAS docking station, AeroVironment’s S300 Loitering Munitions, MatrixSpace Radars, CRFS Passive Radars, and SpearUAV systems.

HX Common Tactical Truck (HX CTT) – Proven. Protected. Ready.

  • The HX CTT, delivered in partnership with GM Defense, is part of Rheinmetall’s HX family of battle-proven tactical trucks that offers a modernised tactical truck solution that combines superior off-road performance, scalable protection, and an integrated digital backbone. Featuring advanced driver assistance systems, open systems architecture, a commercial backbone, and autonomy readiness, the HX is engineered to support resilient sustainment operations in contested environments. Recently proven through extensive Army testing, the HX is a strong competitor in the Army’s Common Tactical Truck (CTT) programme. Variants of the HX platform are operated by 20 allied partner countries including the UK, Australia, and Germany. The HX on display includes Invariant’s CWS-A: A cutting-edge Counter Unmanned Aircraft System (C-UAS) built on the battle-tested technology of the Containerised Weapon System (CWS).

Skyranger Air Defence Systems with AHEAD Ammunition – Layered, Agile, and Precise cUAS and SHORAD Solutions

  • Rheinmetall’s Skyranger 30mm Short Range Air Defence (SHORAD) system and new Skyranger 762 Ultra-SHORAD Remote Weapon Station provide highly-mobile, lethal, and precise autonomous air defence solutions for today’s evolving air threats, particularly highly agile or swarm UAS attacks. The 30x173mm Revolver Cannon KCE-ABM, twin 7.62 mini guns, and ground-to-air missiles offer a superior, autonomous mixed-effector solution for manoeuvre/asset protection in the most austere operating environments, while the twin Dillon M134D’s offer a superior rate-of-fire for last-line-of-defence protection. These systems offer layered and scalable protection that aligns with the Army’s Integrated Air and Missile Defence (IAMD) modernisation priorities.

RCH155 – Mobile Artillery That Redefines Precision and Agility

  • The RCH155 mobile howitzer, delivered in partnership with KNDS, brings ready-now transformational capabilities to the Army’s evolving division-level artillery formations. Mounted on the combat-proven Boxer vehicle, this automated 155mm/L52 cannon system offers unmatched mobility, survivability, and range, going beyond 58km with Rheinmetall’s advanced munitions. Its 2-person crew, shoot-on-the-move ability, and NATO interoperability directly support the Army’s Cannon-Delivered Area Effects and Long-Range Precision Fires strategies. The RCH155 was recently selected by the UK and Germany as their new cannon artillery system and will be fielded by the Ukrainian Army in the near future.
  • Rheinmetall’s world-class L52 155mm cannon, featured on the RCH155 system and others, can also be seen on the BAE AUSA booth integrated onto an M109A7 demonstrating a ready-now solution to deliver a vitally needed long range fires capability upgrade to the Paladin system.

Advanced Medium and Large Calibre Munitions & Lethality Solutions – Built for the Future Fight

  • Rheinmetall continues to lead in next-gen medium and large-calibre munitions design, development, and production with solutions that provide battlefield dominance across all domains. On display will be Rheinmetall’s proven, advanced 155mm Extended Range propellants and rocket assisted V-LAP rocket assisted projectile (RAP) rounds, advanced airburst munitions, and the Highly-Advanced Multi-Mission Rifle (HAMMR), a new and revolutionary automatic, magazine-loaded, shoulder-fired grenade launcher that brings scalable overmatch to the squad level.

American Rheinmetall Munitions will also feature its partnership with Solugen, a Texas-based chemical manufacturer pioneering scalable, domestic production of critical materials for defence and industrial applications. Together, American Rheinmetall Munitions and Solugen are working to expand the availability of new and affordable, US-made energetics to support faster adoption of advanced energetics across the defence sector. The team will sign a Memorandum of Understanding to further their partnership at AUSA on Tuesday October 14, at 9am on the American Rheinmetall booth.
