Press Release, Madrid, 09 May 2025: General Dynamics European Land Systems (GDELS) is going to exhibit at the International Defence & Security Exhibition FEINDEF in Madrid from May 12th to 14th. FEINDEF is Spain’s leading defence trade show, with high relevance for the domestic market, but also for the European neighbours and the Spanish-speaking world.
On their home ground, Madrid-headquartered GDELS and its local subsidiary Santa Bárbara Sistemas take the opportunity to contribute with an impressive display of new and proven capabilities, reflecting their firm commitment to the Spanish Armed Forces and to the defence industrial strategy defined by the Spanish Government.
GDELS’ Military Mobility solutions are based on European technology with flexible localisation schemes for production and integration as currently proven under the Spanish VCR 8×8 DRAGÓN programme among many others.
WORLD PREMIERE ~ self-propelled artillery: We look forward to presenting our newest innovation in the field of tracked armoured artillery systems. This world premiere is scheduled for Monday, May 12th at 11:30am. Make sure you don’t miss this spectacular revelation taking place on our GDELS booth.
Also showcased for the very first time at a public event will be the PIRANHA Advanced Artillery Carrier (AAC), which brings together the PIRANHA HMC 10×10 platform with the fully-automated 155 mm / L52 Artillery Gun Module AGM from KNDS – the perfect combination of firepower and mobility. The 10×10 multi-link PIRANHA platform with four steerable axles ensures highest mobility on- and off-road, including a turning circle of only 18 meters. The 360° azimuth, shoot & scoot, firing on the move, real MRSI, direct targeting, and engagement of moving targets underline the system’s outstanding artillery capabilities.
The EAGLE 6×6 is the larger version of this long-proven tactical vehicle family. It is in service or under contract with Switzerland, Germany, and Luxembourg in the tactical reconnaissance and MEDEVAC roles. Equally adaptable, mobile, and protected as its 4×4 counterpart, it features generous interior volume and up to six tons of mission payload, making it an all-round platform for a broad range of scenarios.
The PANDUR 6×6 EVO is a compact, powerful wheeled armoured vehicle with high speed on- road and outstanding all-terrain mobility. It forms the backbone of the Austrian Armed Forces’ medium mechanised forces and, along with its larger 8×8 version, is in service with many other users around the globe in a variety of roles, reaching from reconnaissance and APC to anti- tank and air-defence. The PANDUR EVO features STANAG-certified ballistic and integrated mine protection, an internal drive train, and optional amphibious capability.
