Press Release, Belgrade, 01 September 2024: [auto-translated] The Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces have announced competitions for the admission of new members to the armoured and reconnaissance units of the Serbian Army.

“We invite interested adult young men and women up to 30 years of age, who are ready to be in the service of their homeland, army and people, to apply for the competitions open until October 15 and to show their patriotism in action. Anyone who wants a secure job, the possibility of training and advancement in the service, a benefited working experience, can apply for admission to the First, Second, Third and Fourth Brigades of the Army. The places of service are in Novi Sad, Sremska Mitrovica, Bačka Topola, Kraljevo, then Novi Pazar, Niš, Kuršumlija and Vranje.

Competitions have been announced for formation positions of various profiles, including Scouts, Snipers, Marksmen, Marksmen, Machine Gunners, Tank, Combat and Motor Vehicle Drivers and Operators. Anyone who meets the prescribed general and special conditions can apply for the competitions, and then the candidates will be directed to check their health, psychophysical and safety criteria. Also, the competitions are open to candidates who have not completed military training with weapons and who are required to report to the competent regional centre of the Ministry of Defence for inclusion in the military records before applying for the competitions. They will be sent for military service with the ‘December 2024’ generation of soldiers.

Selected candidates will be accepted into professional military service for a fixed period of six months, with the possibility of extending the employment contract for a period of up to three years and renewing it.
