Dutch Military Personnel Deploy to Cyprus

Dutch aircraft and military personnel have been deployed to Cyprus due to the situation in Israel and Palestinian Territories.

Press Release, The Hague, 25 October 2023: Military personnel to Cyprus due to the situation in Israel and Palestinian Territories.

The Netherlands Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defence are preparing for different scenarios in case the situation in Israel and the Palestinian Territories continues to deteriorate. In order to be able to react quickly, two C-130 transport aircraft and a Defence team of 200 have left for Cyprus. This team consists of a detachment of Marines, C-130 crews and support personnel.
