ST Engineering Antycip powers AI-enhanced synthetic training for tomorrow’s battlespace in UK MoD’s JCAST programme.

Press Release, Oxfordshire, 31 July 2025: ST Engineering Antycip, European leader in simulation and training solutions, is proud to announce its role in delivering an AI-enhanced virtual training environment, based on MAK ONE and its VR-Forces simulation engine, for the British Ministry of Defence (MoD) as part of the Joint Command and Staff Trainer (JCAST) programme.
The project brings together three core strengths: Operational and strategic command and control (C2) systems integration expertise from MASS, cutting-edge AI from Hadean, and high-fidelity simulation technology from Antycip, powered by VR-Forces, part of the MAK ONE suite platform developed by MAK Technologies, Antycip’s sister company.
At the heart of the JCAST system lies VR-Forces, deployed and supported by Antycip. This computer-generated forces (CGF) platform enables the creation of rich virtual environments populated with intelligent autonomous agents ideal for tactical to strategic training, mission rehearsal, and experimentation with AI-driven decision-making. By combining VR-Forces with Hadean’s AI platform, the system modernises military training, enabling defence personnel to run complex, adaptive combat scenarios that support safe, efficient training, analysis and iteration beyond traditional limitations.
