Press Release, Dunkeswell, 03 March 2025: “It was an enormous honour to be able to showcase our vehicle capabilities, recent HMT developments, and the new Jackal 3 vehicle currently being delivered to the MoD at the MoD facility that is Combat Service Support Trials and Development Group last week,” stated Supacat CEO, Nick Ames:

“It was a remarkable day. We provided our guests with the opportunity to experience the Jackal 3 vehicle on the demanding Long Valley test track and engage in discussions about its significant upgrades from the Jackal 2. We also highlighted that our supply chain is 90% from the South West region and over 95% from the UK, reinforcing our commitment to local sourcing.

“We also successfully demonstrated our four-man armoured closed cab HMT, which is a core component of our Common Base Platform offering and opens up a far wider set of applications for the proven HMT chassis, including many of the systems in the LMP programme and the Ground-Based Air Defence (GBAD) programmes. The successful demonstration of this British-designed and developed chassis has the potential to greatly assist the British Army in its quest to reduce the number of chassis types that it has in service today.

“Furthermore, we assembled some of our key industry partners who complement our vehicle offering, including Babcock – Land sector, Saab Barracuda Mobile Camouflage System, Ultra PCS Electronic Architecture Kit (EAK), and the Moog UK – RIwP, Reconfigurable Integrated Weapons Platform. On the support side, we were pleased to be joined by Kognitiv Spark and their mixed reality (MR) technology, which allows vehicles to be supported and maintained in the field.

“As a UK SME with a predominantly UK supply chain and regionally based, Supacat will continue to support the growth of the UK economy as it enhances and develops its business in response to increased demand. Equally, Supacat is pursuing three significant export orders, which would all bring significant revenue to the country. Supacat is an important regional employer that has undertaken several successful programmes (including Innovate UK Knowledge Transfer Partnerships), with its local University being the University of Exeter. It is thereby growing and developing skills and knowledge in the region and providing highly skilled jobs. We extend our heartfelt thanks to CSS TDG for graciously hosting us and making this significant event possible!”
