Task Force Military Opens Its Doors

Task Force Military, a sister company to Task Force Distribution, is about to open its specialist kit retail showroom in Plympton near Plymouth.

We have been following for some time the build process of this specialist kit shop, which aims to plug a retail gap for military and emergency services users in Southwest England who want to be able to check out gear by handling / wearing it before buying.

The Task Force Distribution team, who handle the military and blue light sales side of LOWA footwear in the UK, have long had the goal of opening a shop utilising spare ground floor premises beneath their administrative offices and next to their warehouse facility. However fulfilling a wide range of new combat and patrol boot orders from specialist military and police customers has had to take priority, meaning the opening has slipped back to this autumn.

We were allowed into the fledgling Task Force Military showroom earlier this year, when the shelves and stands were filling up, and we were impressed by the growing range of products being stocked. Major brands initially represented, though more will follow shortly, include:-

  • Adventure Medical
  • BCB International
  • Breechtool
  • Bridgedale
  • Exped
  • Jetboil
  • Lowa
  • Lifeventure
  • Multimat
  • Optimus
  • Ortlieb
  • Petzl
  • Primus
  • Rite in the Rain
  • Silva
  • SP2
  • Superfeet

There is also a corner of the showroom allocated to displaying every LOWA military and blue light services boot and trainer model available for bulk or private purchase in the UK.

A live link to the Task Force Military website, for those unable to personally visit the Devon store, will be activated just as soon as the shop is open for customers.
