Land Rover Wolf Replacement ~ Brief Update

Research following our post-DVD 2024 article on the Land Rover Wolf and Pinzgauer replacement is continuing apace, writes Bob Morrison.

Within 48 hours of the Light Mobility Vehicle Contenders at DVD 2024 feature going live we were contacted by one of the companies interested in replacing the now 25-30 year old UK Forces TUM (Truck Utility Medium) fleet with an invitation to visit their factory complex in the Black Country for an exclusive briefing. Then a couple of days later the Fleet Sales team of a second contender invited us to visit them too.

As the post-DVD article was our most read page last month there is clearly a lot of interest in the topic, so I rescheduled my workload to allow me to visit the Babcock factory in Walsall at the earliest mutually convenient opportunity; if all goes to plan I should have a full feature on their General Logistics Vehicle within the week. Immediately after that I am booked to visit one of their potential competitors for an exclusive briefing on their proposals too. Watch this space!
