Last week I had my first chance to photograph the new Canadian Disruptive Pattern Multi -Terrain or CADPAT MT camouflage, writes Bob Morrison.

Back in March 2024 we published the CADPAT MT Modernized Combat Uniform feature based on a Canadian Army Information Article but at the time I could only comment on photos of the new camo as I had not seen it myself. At that time I hoped either Carl or myself might have the opportunity to photograph troops in the new pattern deployed to Europe, but to date that opportunity has not arisen.
However last week at DVD 2026 I happened to spot a Canadian Army officer on attachment who was wearing CADPAT MT and he kindly allowed me to photograph the back panel of the Modernized Combat Uniform shirt he was wearing. The two accompanying photographs on this page were shot under bright overcast conditions and should therefore give reasonably good colour representation.
As the original feature was quite comprehensive I don’t plan to waffle on here but suggest readers click on the link in the first paragraph if they wish to learn more.
