The recent BRAVE PARTNER 23 was a SNAP (Short Notice Action Planning) live-fire exercise conducted by US Army troops in North Macedonia.

BRAVE PARTNER 23 was a US Army Europe and Africa scheduled, directed, and led Short Notice Action Planning (SNAP) exercise, which included live-fire training and was designed to demonstrate USAREURAF’s operational reach, validate US investments in North Macedonia, and increase readiness.

The primary US Army infantry contingent speedily deployed by air to Krivolak Training Area in North Macedonia for the exercise was drawn from the 2nd Squadron of the 2nd Cavalry Regiment which is forward based in Bavaria, Germany. Nicknamed the Second Dragoons, 2CR primarily uses Stryker family 8×8 armoured fighting vehicles.
