KNDS Deutschland and the Belgian MoD have signed a contract for the delivery of eight LEGUAN bridge layers mounted on a 10×10 wheeled chassis.

Press Release, Munich, 20 January 2026: KNDS Deutschland (KNDS) and the Belgian Ministry of Defence have signed a contract for the delivery of eight LEGUAN bridge layers mounted on a 10×10 wheeled chassis.
The contract, which KNDS won against several competitors, also includes 17 LEGUAN 26-metre bridges, a logistics package, and special tools. The contract value is approximately EUR 80 million.
The LEGUAN bridge laying system is capable of automatically laying and retrieving 26- or 14-metre bridges of load classes MLC 80 and MLC 100, day and night, from a protected cabin. The LEGUAN system on various tracked and wheeled platforms is already in use and being procured by 22 armies around the world.
