Press Release, Fareham, 01 September 2025: Kraken Technology Group is a British maritime technology company, built from the ground up to deliver innovative capability through advanced uncrewed vessels. Already in service with the UK Ministry of Defence and multiple Allied nations, Kraken will showcase its flagship uncrewed surface vessel, the K3 SCOUT inside and on the water at DSEI 2025.

The 8m platform has a top speed of 55 knots and can carry a 600kg payload up to 650 nautical miles. It will feature on the MoD’s Static Display in the Capital Hall and be demonstrated live on the water daily at 10:30 and 14:30 to highlight its mission-ready, modular technology in action.

Kraken has most recently partnered with NVL, a company who have set the gold standard in maritime production, to expand Europe’s ability to deliver sovereign, autonomous naval capabilities to Allied nations. This collaboration enables Kraken to scale production and strengthen supply chains, ensuring rapid deployment of high-performance, multi-role, mass capabilities across our seas.

Mal Crease, CEO and Founder of Kraken Technology Group, said: “We’re delighted to showcase our modular USV, K3 SCOUT, at DSEI this year. Following successful trials with the MOD, the K3 SCOUT will be on their Static Display and will be performing on-water dynamic demonstrations in the marina. With over 100 employees in our new multi-million-pound facility and strong UK supply chain support, Kraken is driving the defence industry as a force for growth. Backed by the NATO Innovation Fund and the National Security Strategic Investment Fund, in addition to our recent joint venture with NVL, Kraken is scaling both at home and abroad with our proven innovative maritime technology.”
