Press Release, Huntsville, AL, 24 March 2025: Oshkosh Defense LLC, an Oshkosh Corporation business, is exhibiting at the Association of the United States Army’s (AUSA) Global Force Symposium in Huntsville, AL, from March 25 – 27, 2025. Oshkosh will showcase the advanced autonomous technology of the US Marine Corps’ Remotely Operated Ground Unit for Expeditionary Fires (ROGUE-Fires). Demonstrating its payload-agnostic design, ROGUE-Fires will be displayed for the first time with the MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket System) Family of Munitions (MFOM).
ROGUE-Fires is engineered to support a range of mission-critical payloads, including long-range precision fires, autonomous resupply, and logistics operations. Based on the Oshkosh JLTV, the ROGUE-Fires’ powertrain can be adapted to hybrid-electric, enabling silent drive and silent watch, enhanced fuel economy and increased exportable power to further support mission success.
“At AUSA Global Force, we are excited to showcase ROGUE-Fires with MFOM highlighting its potential to deliver cutting-edge, technologically advanced, surface-to-surface fires,” said Pat Williams, chief programmes officer at Oshkosh Defense. “Oshkosh is committed to designing scalable solutions that support the US Army’s transformation to the Army of 2030, where human-machine integration in multi-domain operations will be critical to mission success.”
Oshkosh’s growing portfolio of autonomy-ready tactical vehicles, including the ROGUE-Fires, FMTV A2 launcher, and the Palletized Load System (PLS) A2, integrate advanced drive-by-wire vehicle architectures to support incremental modernisation. These platforms enhance Warfighter safety while contributing to mission effectiveness in dynamic operational environments.
“As the battlefield continues to evolve, we are leveraging the mature and proven Oshkosh families of vehicles to design payload-agnostic autonomous platforms that deliver unmatched flexibility, enabling forces to outpace emerging threats and maintain operational dominance,” Williams concluded.
