Press Release, Haifa Bay, 20 April 2023: Singapore, May 2023 – Israel Shipyards will showcase the first appearance of the latest version of the OPV S-45 recent successful delivery made by the customer crew and ISL experienced team.
The S-45 is a multi-role OPV, customised to meet the customer’s specific needs, using the latest technologies and materials to ensure the vessel is both reliable and durable. Its highly versatile platform is well-suited to meet the evolving needs of modern navies and coastguards.
The OPV S-45 is another proven testament to Israel Shipyards’ commitment to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction. The S-45 vessel joins the company’s unique tailor-made solutions all designed and constructed with strict quality assurance and long-term service at the Israel Shipyards facility.
The company will also present three main vessel families, all operationally proven, mission-ready, and are in service in Naval and law enforcement forces around the world:
- The renowned SHALDAG Fast Patrol Craft (FPC) family e.g., SHALDAG MK V and Shaldag MK II proven solutions for interdiction of seaborne terrorism, illegal activities, coastal law enforcement and EEZ protection
- The Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) family e.g., OPV-45 cost-effective and designed for Open Sea patrolling and surveillance operations and strategic assets protection
- The Corvette family e.g., S-80 – is based on ‘Reshef‘ class vessels with a cutting- edge capabilities that will be required in future combat scenarios.
