Last Thursday Supacat and KNDS, plus partners, hosted a Capability Day at the CSS TDG Long Valley military trials and test facility, reports Bob Morrison.

As mentioned previously, Thursday’s event brought together “defence stakeholders, industry partners, and military users to showcase how Supacat, KNDS, and other defence partners are working collaboratively to support the Defence Industrial Strategy”.
Last year I was unable to attend the Supacat Capability Display at Long Valley because I simply could not get back from covering Enforce Tac 2025 in Nuremberg in time. However this year there was no diary clash and (as I was able to schedule a return flight to the UK from Southern Europe on Monday to give me the chance to get back to base to change my socks & shreddies) I pitched up at the test facility on Wednesday afternoon to meet the exhibiting partners and snap a few photos to accompany our UK News post on Thursday morning.
The event, held under blue skies on what turned out to be the warmest day to date of 2026, was for me essentially a fact-finding and photo capturing opportunity to allow me to prepare future features on equipment and systems so this post is merely a photo album to show JF viewers some of the exhibits. Between now and mid-June my diary is crammed with assignments, plus I have a backlog of topics built up over the last four hectic months, so it could be a little while before articles are written but hopefully this album will give an idea of many of the companies and systems were there last week.
